This first semester in the BIOMINDS’ program I have overcome a couple of challenges. First, I had to get used to work in a team again. Why? Because when I started working in Dr. Peña’s lab I was part of a team, but after 1 year, that is since 3 years ago, I worked by myself and Dr. Peña is my direct mentor. This is a challenge because is not easy to depend in the others to complete your work, but I know this is very important in science, so I think that I overcome it very well.
Second, I had to learned a couple of different techniques. Why? Because the techniques that I know very well are more from molecular biology and neurobiology. For example, context fear conditioning, Timm’s staining, Perfusion, between others. So, I have to learned techniques in biotechnology. For example, Electrophoresis and Southern Blot. But this was great for me because I love to learn new, different and challenging things.
And third, I had to make this Blog. This was very challenging for me because I have myspace and facebook, but as you all know, that is something easy and different. There you just answer the questions they give you and your page appears like magic 
But here you have to do it almost all, and more importantly, you have to do it in a way that people understand it…and in science this is a difficult task. Why? Because we have too much technicals words (palabras de domingo) that people in the field understand, but what about the rest of the world? The difficulty is in here, but I think that I did a good work. Don’t you think???
